The series focuses on The Flynn Family, whose son Riley (Zach Gilford) has just served time for killing a teenager in a drunk driving incident. As he comes home to his devout Catholic working class family (they’re fisherman on an east coast island) he has lost his conscious and faith. Meanwhile a new priest (Hamish Linklater) has arrived to the community.
